500 Days of Summer

Text

I was going through some of my books this morning, when I came across a note you had given me. For some reason, I couldn’t bring myself to throw it away just yet. I don’t know if it’s because you still mean something to me, or if it’s because I just want to hold on to a small piece of nostalgia; a proof that we once had something that could’ve been great, had you not been a coward and thrown the chance away.

"I have faith that God will show you the answer. But you have to understand that sometimes it takes a while to be able to recognize what God wants you to do. That’s how it often is. God’s voice is usually nothing more than a whisper, and you have to listen very carefully to hear it. But other times, in those rarest of moments, the answer is obvious and rings as loud as a church bell."

"Hey, girls, you’re beautiful. Don’t look at those stupid magazines with stick-like models. Eat healthy and exercise. That’s all. Don’t let anyone tell you you’re not good enough. You’re good enough, you are too good. Love your family with all your heart and listen to it. You are gorgeous, whether you’re a size 4 or 14. It doesn’t matter what you look like on the outside, as long as you’re a good person, as long as you respect others. I know it’s been told hundreds of times before, but it’s true. Hey, girls, you are beautiful."
